Explore fire accountability
Start anywhere — the platform drills from the United States to states, counties, and (soon) departments and incidents. Every published value is public and cited. Fireground Index is both a fire-outcome scorecard and a public data-transparency map: states with complete public data get a scored report card; the rest get an evidence page explaining what’s missing.

Live state scorecards
Most recent firstData transparency — states not yet scored
18 documentedThese states are not scored because the public data needed to score them fairly isn’t available yet — a matter of data publication, not fire outcomes or fire-service quality. Each has a public evidence page documenting exactly what was checked and what would unlock scoring. A state fire marshal’s office or fire-service data program can unlock a live scorecard by providing complete, county-level data.
